Some Pomeranian breeders say that the breed has a similar face to that of a fox; others say the Pom has a baby-doll, or what they call a "pansy" face. All Pomeranian puppies have bright, dark eyes with an intelligent and eager expression. The nose of the Pomeranian is either a dark shade or the color of its coat. Poms have a feathered tail that fans forward onto the back of the puppy. The Pomeranian dog breed also has an abundant amount of fur around the neck and chest area which is almost lion-like. Poms as adults have a double coat that usually comes in solid colors. Toy Pom puppies have a coat that can range from many different colors but the most common are red Pomeranians, orange Pomeranians, white or cream poms, blue poms, and brown or black Pomeranians. There is also the parti-colored coat which is white with colored markings. The color in the parti-colored poms can range from black, tan, wolf sable, and orange sable. The Pomeranian dog breed is a lively, energetic little dog. Pom puppies are very intelligent, and love to learn. The Pomeranian is extremely loyal to its owner and family members.
