The Pembroke Welsh Corgi dog breed is short stumpy little dog with a long, low body. This breed has large ears that stand up and a head that looks like a fox. The Corgi has a teeny little tail, and big dark eyes. The corgis coat is a soft coat that comes in a few different colors. Coat colors vary from red, sable, fawn, black, or black and tan, most have some white on the coat. The Pembroke Corgi tends to be smaller in weight and size than the Cardigan. Pembroke Welsh corgi pups are a highly intelligent and obedient little dog. They tend to be very protective and devoted to their owners. Corgis will make good family pets a long as they are well socialized from puppy hood with children and young kids. They are protective of their family members and will tolerate children most of the time. They are good little guard dogs are usually very obedient. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi tends to be wary of strangers and can be a bit over protective, this is why it is important to socialize from an early age and train early on. The Pembroke Welsh corgi is a good dog breed for an individual who lives in an apartment or small home, and will also fair just fine in a larger home environment. They just need to be exercised on a daily basis. They are active little dogs inside the home and would enjoy some outdoor activity. They are naturally considered an active dog and will be just fine in all climates. As for grooming your new Corgi puppy, they require little brushing or combing of the hair and a bath when needed is just fine. They are minimal shedders.
