The Siberian husky is known to be a strong, working dog. The Husky is a compact muscular dog with beautiful fur that covers the body and keeps the dog warm. The coat comes in all colors. These coat colors range from black to pure white. The Siberian husky will also have markings on the head area. These marking include striking patterns in colors such as black and white, red and white, chocolate brown and white, and silver or wolf-grey. Eye color can range from a blue, amber, or brown color. There are also cases of bi-eyed Huskys or parti-eyed. This is when one eye color will be blue and the other brown. The Siberian has huge paws or feet that are mainly used for gripping on ice or icy conditions.
The Siberian is known to be a playful yet gentle dog. This breed is also quite willful. Husky puppies are cheerful and consider their human companions as family members in the pack. The Siberian husky puppy is very sociable and loving. They are very calm and easy going as well. This breed would be a fine choice for a family dog, as they are great with small children. It is recommended that the new puppies be socialized from birth but by nature they are an easy going social breed. Huskies love everyone and are even friendly with strangers! Training your new husky can be a little bit of a challenge due to their strong willed personality but they are very smart so they should obey when they understand the reasoning for the rule. Huskies love to remain outdoors doing tasks. They can become bored quite easily so keeping your Husky busy is key. They tend to get lonely so if you will be gone for a while you should think of getting two Huskies to keep each other company. Huskies do well with other dog breeds as long as they have been well socialized from an early age with that breed. They are by nature outdoor and cold weather dogs; they eat minimal amounts and have huge amounts of energy. Siberian husky breeders know that the Husky is a unique dog breed and that they are hard to figure out completely. These husky breeders and husky lovers are always learning something new about their dogs everyday!
The Siberian husky is not a breed that is recommended for apartments or small homes. They require a lot of room and area to move around and be active. They can live in apartment as long as they are given enough daily exercise outdoors. They are very active on their own inside the home and will need a fenced in area outside the home to play. They have heavy thick beautiful coats so being in a very hot climate is not recommended. They would do best in areas where the weather stays cool year-round. Huskies need lots of exercise but should not be over worked in hot weather temperatures.
